Deciding on a Hairstyle
Finding and deciding on a hairstyle for the big day can often be quite daunting so I have some advice that will hopefully make it easier for you.
I think it always helps to collect as many ideas and pictures as possible which I recommend you bring along to the trial when I can also offer you my advice as well.
It is a good idea to find pictures of styles you like but also some you don't so I can get a really clear idea of what you have in mind.
You can collect pictures from magazines, the internet and also from our picture gallery.
When choosing a style, it can help to imagine how you think it will look with your dress and any ornamental hair accessorize that you may have decided on. Be realistic and think about your hair type.
It's good to be open to new ideas and advice, I am here to help in any way I can.
If your dress is very decorative then a plainer, softer and more subtle style may be more appropriate.
If your dress is more demure, you could really go wild with the hair and the accessorize, deciding this is all part of the fun(remember, tiaras and hair decorations should compliment rather than hide the hairstyle).
The Trial Run
It's best to allow about 2 hours for a trial run and more if any other members of the wedding party require a practice.
It isn't essential that all the wedding party have a trial run if they do not wish to but it would be useful to get an idea of the styles they have in mind and what their hair is like.
When I see you at the trial run, we will talk about timings on the wedding day.
You may have other appointments such as makeup etc so we can plan a simple schedule if you think it may help.
The trial run is also a good time for me to give you some advice on conditioning treatments and haircuts to have before the wedding day to ensure that your hair is in the best possible condition which will only add to and accentuate your wedding day style.
